In 1920s Austria, a young girl named Marie visits a local marionette theatre with a family friend. Things go awry when a mysterious "phantom" puppet is causing mayhem throughout the theatre which threatens to shut it down if left unchecked. But what is the phantom after? And are there more players pulling strings just off stage?
